Hypnotherapy & Meditation
Just like our heartbeat, our brain has an electrical voltage that pulses per second and it is measured in Hertz (by EEG)
Beta 13-16Hertz: Normal waking consciousness, alert
Alpha 8-13 Hertz: Very relaxed, meditative, daydreaming, intuition and accelerated learning
Theta 4-8 Hertz: Dreaming, sleep and deep meditation,
Delta 1-4 Hertz: Deep sleep (no dreams), deep hypnotic trance, coma
We move in and out of states of consciousness throughout the day and night. In the day we are in the state of "normal/alert" (Beta), we may daydream and lose track of time (Alpha), we may take a nap sleep for a while and have dreams (Theta) and when we sleep at night we dip into the Delta state. An individual with healthy sleep patterns will cycle through Alpha, Theta & Delta every 90 minutes and will wake up well rested. The cycle of an individual with unhealthy sleep patterns or who suffers from a sleep disorder will be erratic and they will wake up feeling not so rested.

With the exception of 10% of people (considered geniuses), the vast majority lose awareness as they dip into Alpha and lower. You can learn to function consciously through the different states of consciousness or brainwave cycles.

What good is it to become conscious in states which you were once unconscious (Hypnosis)?
-
You can access sparks of creativity
-
Overcome the limiting beliefs that you absorbed like a sponge from the ages of 0-7
-
Overcome self-sabotage & poor self-worth
-
Acquire self-mastery, successful goal-setting leading to achievement and success for students. entrepreneurs & athletes
-
Pain control
-
Improve sleep and relaxation and reduce anxiety
After all the inventor of the light bulb, Thomas Edison would nap on a chair whilst holding a ball in each hand. As he fell asleep the balls would fall to the floor and he would immediately write down his thoughts (dream recall) which normally would be forgotten dreams.

In Meditation we usually dip into a light alpha state which brings feelings of well-being and bliss, but we usually fall asleep if we enter lower states.
In hypnotherapy, with the help of a hypnotherapist you are guided into deeper states with awareness and access the "filing cabinet" of your mind, once there you can use tools such as age regression to solve current problems and access peak performance.
